I am a Psychodynamic Counsellor and Psychotherapist. My experience is broad and I have worked with people suffering from anxiety and depression, abuse, bereavement and loss, eating disorders, sexual issues, pregnancy and fertility and work related issues.
I have done my clinical training at the NHS, where I worked as a psychodynamic psychotherapist both in a psychotherapy department and in a counselling clinic at a G.P. practice. I have also worked as a school counsellor and in intensive rehabilitation of patients with brain injury and neurological conditions.
The focus of our work will be on helping you to understand yourself better and find more constructive ways to deal with the important issues or relationships in your life, in a safe non-judgmental environment. I will always tailor my approach to suit the specific needs of each client. I am a member of the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) and of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by their ethical framework.
I offer once weekly psychotherapy to adults (16+), I generally see people at a regular time and sessions last for 50 minutes. You can see me for a short-term period to explore a specific problem that is troubling you, or we can work together with an open-ended contract that allows for a deeper exploration.
