Approach to Therapy
I offer Transpersonal Integrative Psychotherapy; this means that I have a wider range of modalities at my disposal, rather then working one way. Consequently, I can choose, adopt and adapt the appropriate style for each client. After all we are all unique and the therapy is never the same.
At the heart of my practice and for the work to be successful is the relationship between therapist and the client, so an exploratory meeting is essential. An initial FREE consultation will establish if it feels right for us to work together, and at that time we will agree on a fixed number of sessions or a more open- ended arrangement. Only through you feeling comfortable with our working relationship that we will be able to proceed. Our work together will begin with period of getting to know you and during this time we will discuss the area that you would like to transform.
I trained at the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education (CCPE) in London. I hold a Post-Graduate Diploma in Transpersonal and Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy which is accredited by the UKCP and validated by the University of Northampton.
My counselling and therapeutic experience includes working at The Putneymead Group Medical Practice NHS, Kingston Woman Centre, Maytree, respite for people in suicidal crisis and in private practice.
I undertook my psychiatric placement at The Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust in South London.
I adhere to the code of ethics of the UKCP.
